Children are natural wonderers. They ask big questions, notice
small details, and experience the world with openness and
imagination. “Wonder-Filled Faith Series” invites us to take that holy
curiosity seriously - not rush past it, quiet it down, or replace it with
easy answers, but to see it as a place where God is already at work.
This Kids Time series is inspired by the themes of “Dangerous
Wonder” by Mike Yaconelli and is written especially for children and
the leaders who walk alongside them. Each weekly lesson is
designed to help kids engage faith with honesty, creativity, and
courage - wondering about who God is, how God meets us, and what
it means to live faithfully in a complex world.

Each lesson includes a consistent, easy-to-use structure:
•For the Leader - A brief grounding reflection and guidance to help
prepare you for the theme and set the tone for the week.
•Scripture - A short scripture reading.
•Opening Questions - Simple, open-ended questions that invite
curiosity and help children connect the theme to their own lives.
•Activity - A hands-on activity that helps children experience the
theme through movement, creativity, or play.
•Closing Questions - Gentle questions to help children reflect, share,
and carry the theme beyond Kids Time.

These lessons are intentionally flexible and adaptable for different ages, group sizes, and worship settings. They work well for Kids Time, children’s moments, or intergenerational gathering and can be adjusted to fit the rhythm of your community.

You don’t need to have all the answers to lead these lessons. Your role is to simply create a space - for questions, imagination, faith, and the Spirit’s movement. May this series help you and the children in your care to step into a kind of wonder that feels brave, holy, and alive.
