Give your kids a job that matters and a wagon to do it in. This guide walks your children's ministry through running a neighborhood food drive: small teams of kids, each with an adult leader and a wagon, go door-to-door through nearby streets inviting neighbors to donate canned goods and non-perishables for your local food bank.

It covers the whole arc — how to connect with your food bank and gather their specific needs list, two ways to run the day (a simple collection or a gamified "Wagon Brigade Challenge" with a point system and team wagons), logistics and safety for taking kids door-to-door, and a script for what kids can actually say at the door, including a shorter version and a few tips for kids who are nervous. A closing note shows how to adapt the same structure for other local causes — an animal shelter collecting linens, a women's shelter collecting toys, and so on.
